March Favourites

I know it’s a little belated but I picked up this gorgeous tray at the weekend and thought it would be perfect to display my favourites things of the last month – it’s a varied bunch from food to beauty.

Daniel Wellington Watch – black with silver hardware

I picked mine up from Amazon because it’s half the price of buying at a highstreet retailer. I’ve had this for over a year now but I love it more every month that goes by as the weather gets a lovely worn look.

Succulents (and plants more generally)

Those of you who read my tips on how to decorate rental accommodation will know my love of plants. This month I’m all about the succulents – mostly because they can’t seem to die! This is a gorgeous stripey one is the newest edition to my plant baby and it’s sat nicely on my beside table.

Firstly the realisation that it’s spelt tuRmeric when I always assumed it was tumeric… It’s just bloody amazing, I’ve started including a lot of it in my food daily but I’ve also started making myself Turmeric Tea/ Golden Milk to warm me up right to the bones.

After Party Silk Eye Mask

I picked this up before my travels to help me sleep in various countries, various hotel rooms, planes and transportation. I nearly bought this a few times but never completed the purchase until they sent me a 10% off code. I finally decided to take the plunge and it arrived ridiculously fast in under a week and I don’t regret it for a second.

Maybelline Face Studio Master Contour Kit

I have had my Kevyn Aucoin contour powder for well over a year but alas… it broke along my travels so I decided to investigate the high street alternatives. I picked up this light grey-toned contour kit on a whim and I’m glad I did – it was super cheap the powder is really finely milled. It’s not too pigmented which means it’s nicely buildable and the highlight isn’t too glittery just adds a nice hint of shimmer.

L’Oreal Paris Butterful Effect Mascara

This was a complete impulse purchase in a Boots 3for2 offer which they often run. This gives the lashes a gorgeous fanned out lengthened look and I find this a lot more natural that the seriously volumising Maybelline mascara’s that I’ve been using recently. I always really recommend L’Oreal mascara’s and this one is no exception.

Origins Make A Difference Overnight Hydrating Repair Cream

I’m a massive fan-girl of the Make A Difference+ gel so when I saw this in a reduced cosmetics shop in the US I couldn’t resist. Admittedly it’s not as good as the gel but the consistency, smell and feel is amazing. I have never tried an Origins product that I haven’t liked though!

Antique Poison Bottle

Not a very normal purchase… but I love collecting little nick-knacks from little antique shops and one of my weaknesses are little glass bottles. I have them sitting in my kitchen and lounge I just think they are lovely to add a sprig of greenery or a single bloom to brighten up my home.

This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray

A truly wonderful surprise on Christmas morning. I opened this present from my mum’s friend and it’s one of those things I always mean to pick up but never quite got round to it. I’ve been attempting to get more sleep in March because I’ve read a few articles about the negative long term effects of lack of sleep. This has been incredibly useful for sending me off to sleep in a deep lavender scented slumber.

Lizi’s Low Sugar Granola

I’m a big fan of Lizi’s Granola so to find this low sugar version was a pretty joyous day. It tastes amazing with a little yogurt or just on its own. I often have it as a post-dinner snack in front of Walking Dead.

Absolutely loving the antique bottle. I’m personally rubbish at finding those kind of things and am always very jealous when I see others with them. Will have to try the sleep spray too!
