4 women who inspire me (and why I re-wrote this title)

I actually started this post several times all along the same lines of wanting to dive face first into a pile of knitwear because I’m in a funk with the changing weather. So I decided to take a step back from my laptop, have a cup of tea and catch up on my favourite Instagram stories, bloggers and YouTubers. I realised that their content inspires me so much that I wanted to share the love.

Chloe Plumstead is right at the front of the ladies I admire. I don’t care if I’m seriously fangirling over here but she inspires me to be more accepting, mostly of myself. I constantly find myself gravitating to her posts – and actually reading them rather than just looking at the beautiful photos. Chloe has the frankness and honestly that genuinely has the power to influencer me. She recently wrote about ditching eye makeup – she looks amazing – and I went straight out and picked up a clear mascara to give the no make-up look my own go. She’s the same height as me, she likes the same types of clothes – in her I see something aspirational but also attainable.

Sophie Milner aka the queen of sass. Yes she looks incredible in everything and has some of the best hair on the Instagram block but it’s her words that make me laugh and cry. She’s clearly a talented writer and she inspires me to keep writing, to keep trying to produce content that people actually give a shit about rather than just ‘here’s my jumper… buy my jumper’. She inspires me to question the status quo – I love her ‘think pieces’ with pieces like ‘it’s okay to feel negative‘, ‘the problem of being a perfectionist‘ and ‘the realness and fairness of blogging‘. Give her a read if you want something sassy and real.

Liv Purvis of What Olivia Did (her sites been totally revamped if you haven’t seen it already) is possibly one of the nicest people you’ll come across in the online world. She inspires me to put good out into the world. Whilst I love her website and her Instagram because they are dreamy and aspirational – it’s her YouTube that’s been inspiring me recently. Her bubbly spirit and sweet nature on camera is wholly endearing and inspires me to be happy, kind and generous.
