Meet the Affogato
Now I would drink coffee with every meal of the day but sometimes it’s nice to mix things up and try something a little bit different. One of my favourite ways to drink coffee as a bit of a treat I like to make an affogato. This little treat is from the Lisette Loves archives.
All you need to make an affogato is:
– Good vanilla ice cream (my favourite is hagen daas madagascan vanilla)
– Strong freshly brewed coffee
– Refrigerated glass to serve
How do you do it?
It literally couldn’t be simpler brew a pot of coffee in, a percolator (you can pick them up for under £10) works best for this add a few scoops of freshly ground coffee and leave to bubble. Take the glass out of the freezer so it’s nice and cold add a large scoop (or two…) of ice cream and then pour over some coffee and enjoy.
Sit back, stir and enjoy!
