Quick and Easy Fig, honey, rosemary, goats cheese toast. Look fancy and f**k with minimal effort. The perfect time to have this is a) you’re trying to look sophisticated b) you’re sophisticated and this is ‘normal eats’ for you c) you’re short on time for a dinner party and need a quick starter
When September rolls around I always know… it’s time for figs. Or to use a horribly overused Marketing ‘pun’ it’s time to get figgy with it.
I won’t patronise you and describe this as a recipe as quite frankly I’m not Nigella and a recipe should be something that requires an iota of skill. This is just pretentious toast.
- Toast the sourdough and leave to cool
- Spread the goats cheese or ricotta
- Add the sliced fig to the top
- Drizzle with honey and sprinkles of rosemary
YOU will Need
- 1 loaf of sourdough
- 200g Ricotta/Goats cheese
- 2-3 Figs
- Drizzle of honey
- Pinch of fresh rosemary
If you’re strapped for time and want quick and easy things to share with your friends, to have at a dinner party or brunch this is the perfect food for you. It’s seasonal, it’s delicious and takes around 5 minutes to make. Figs go great with pretty much any cheese and most meats. They add a spot of colour to a dish and can be roasted, toasted, baked or eaten raw. Fig recipes are without fail some of my favourite recipes to Pin on Pinterest.
