Now I fell hard for the whole white trainer trend – comfy shoes that are ‘cool’ – I’m there. When I picked up my latest edition to the trainer family the white and red Nike Cortez I had literally no idea how to style them. I definitely spent the first day face deep in pinterest and google trying to find out ‘how to style nike cortez’. First things first… always get a children’s size if your feet are under a uk 6.5 because they are quite literally half the price.
What I ascertained is… they go with everything you could wear them with jeans and a t-shirt or a skirt and blazer combo. But when I spied this textured faux leather jacket in Zara I knew I was onto something good. They had this in Pink, a canary yellow and this cornflower blue and I honestly spent a good 40 minutes trying to work out which one to got for – I nearly bought two as they were only £39 and a perfect fit. I find Zara odd for sizing, sometimes I can wear anything from an XS up to an L so I tried on all the sizes and eventually settled on an M which gives it a nice relaxed biker feel and means I can actually fit jumpers underneath it!
I know I might look like a bit of a 90’s throwback to a Destiny’s Child video but I think coloured pleather is a great way to make a traditional biker jacket a little bit more summery.
